No. As long as the dumpster is accessible and nothing is blocking our ability to safely hook up and remove the trailer, you do not need to be present for pickup.
This is one reason we collect payment upfront—once you've finished loading the dumpster, simply let us know and we'll take care of the rest.
To avoid delays, please make sure:
Vehicles are not parked in front of the trailer
Gates are unlocked (if applicable)
Materials are loaded properly and can be safely tarped
The dumpster remains accessible for our truck

How much can i put in the dump trailer?
For safety and legal transportation requirements:
✅ Materials must fit inside the trailer
✅ Debris must not extend above the sidewalls
✅ The load must be capable of being fully covered with a tarp
✅ Weight must remain within the trailer's capacity (6600lbs for our 12' and 9500lbs for our 14')
❌ No overfilled or overflowing loads
❌ No items sticking out over the sides or rear

What does the $200 base price include?
Our $200 starting rate is all-inclusive for standard projects. It covers the delivery of the trailer to your location, the eventual pickup, the logistics of hauling it to the disposal site, and the first 3,000 pounds (1.5 tons) of debris weight.
How do I know if my dump trailer is overweight?
When we pick up your trailer, we drive it directly to the local municipal scales where it is officially weighed. If your debris weighs 3,000 lbs or less, you owe nothing extra.
What happens if I go over the 3,000 lbs weight limit?
If your load exceeds 3,000 lbs, you only pay for the exact number of pounds you are over the limit. The rate depends on which local disposal facility we use for your project:
North Iowa Landfill: 3¢ per pound for any weight over the limit.
Wright County Transfer Station: 5¢ per pound for any weight over the limit.
Can you give me an example of how the overweight fee is calculated?
Of course! Let's say your total project weight comes in at 3,500 lbs at the North Iowa Landfill. You are 500 lbs over the included limit. At 3¢ per pound, your overage fee is exactly $15.00 ($0.03 x 500), bringing your final total to $215.

Will the dump trailer damage my driveway?

How do you know if you have an HM? Read the label. Look for the words “poison,” “danger,” “warning” or “caution.” Any product which is reactive, corrosive, poisonous, or flammable is categorized as an HM. That would include products such as paints, cleaners, oils, insecticides, and solvents.

The Wright County Transfer Station operates differently than a standard landfill. Because they must haul the waste a second time to a final disposal site, their local municipal fee is $74/ton. The North Iowa Landfill allows direct dumping, keeping their rate at $38/ton.
